18 Karaats - A Girl's Best friend

I have been looking for a diamond stud earring for a while now. While I was window-shopping last weekend, I saw the store 18 KARAATS. I have walked pass this shop many times before but I didnt really walked in as the shops are pretty small and more often than so, there are no customer to be seen. Surprised was the word I have for them when I went in the store. They not only have beautiful cut diamonds, be it a pendant, bracelet, rings or earrings but the staff are also very friendly and helpful.Yes, I finally got myself the stud earring I been looking for!!

18 KARAATS' diamond are all man-made and they have similar charactertics of a real diamond. I am no expert in diamonds but one look and you would agree that their cuts are gorgeous. In addition to that, the price is definitely more affordable than those real ones. What is there not to love I must ask.

To know more about 18 KARAATS and its products, you can visit 18karaats.com

Very nice packaging

Urban Decay - Naked

There are tons of good reviews on Urban Decay-Naked pallete from make up blogs and youtube videos. Because of that, i have been trying to get hold of this palette for myself but it has been sold out for quite some time. So, last week when I heard that Sephora finally stocked this pallete up, I knew I have to get hold of them immediately. Thank god  one of my girlfriend, Merlyn was at Sephora on that day and she managed to get one for me!! Last I heard was the the palette is already sold out (within 5 days).

After getting hold of this palette, I totally understand where the many good reviews came from.
The palette comes with 12 shades of beautiful eye shadows, a duo colour eyeliner and eyeshadow primer. All the colours are absolutely gorgeous, very pigmented and easy to apply. I can see myself wearing each and every single one of the colours be it for a 'day' or a 'night' look which makes this a good pallette to have when you are travelling ( though I have to say that it might be a little too big for your make up pouch).

Urban Decay - Naked Palette @ $73ea

ZA Two-Way Foundation

ZA Two-Way Foundation by Shiseido is my all time favourite foundation. This is the first foundation I bought when I was 15 and I have been using it ever since. Reason being you can get this in any drug store like Watson's and the price is affordable.

There are a total of 8 shades for this collection and all of them contains SPF20 PA++. ZA Two-way foundation can be applied both dry (I would normally go for this) or wet (for better coverage). The reason I love this foundation so much is that it is not only easy to apply/blend but it gives a very natural finish too!

Every now and then, ZA will have a limited edition collection especially during the holiday season. This is a must-grab as it comes with a super cute packaging and a definite value for money

Limited Edition Set @33.50ea

It comes with a pouch, cosmetic case and 2 refills

I love their sparkly design

I got mine in shade no. 22

My one two three routine

I believe many of you out there have your own daily 1,2, 3 skin care routine (i.e cleanse, tone, moisturize).

Personally, I think you have to know your skin condition for that day. I will sometime skip part 2 (toner) depending on what I will be doing on that day. If I were to go out the whole day with lots of make up on / when my skin feels very oily, yes, it is recommended that to follow all the 3 steps skin regime as toner can helps clean away whatever your cleanser has left behind  and also minimise pores. But for those days when I have minimal or no make up on, I will skip the toner part and directly moisturize my face after cleansing it

Everyone should see toner more of an optional product and should only be used when you think your skin needs it instead of a necessity to use it everyday.

So, for my so-called 1 2 3 skincare regime, I use Dermalogica Products (I got those for sensitive-skin)

When looking for cleanser, I tend to look for a non-foaming cleanser and this by far is my favourite item from Derma.

Ultracaming cleanser 500ml @ $$113

I like how it comes in a spray bottle instead of the usual bottle where you have to use cotton bud to apply it all over your face. So now you can just spray it on your face and use a clean hand to rub it evenly over your face

Soothing protection spray 250ml @ $76

I got myself two types of moisturizer (Skin Smoothing Cream and Barrier Repair)
Skin Smoothing Cream is more of an everyday use for me

Skin smoothing cream 100ml @ $121

Barrier Repair is a more of like a gel type, it melts easily into sensitized skin and can help repair damage from environmental agression . I use this once a week

Barrier repair 30ml @ $82

I got myself a travel kit size as well

I love Derma products as it does not contain any artificial fragrance or colour which makes it suitable for the sensitive skin I have. Another product on my list of favourite things

How I organise my make up brushes and hair acessories

Make up brushes and hair accessories are just one of those things that girls cant do without. I used to have problems organising my make up brush and finding my hair pins. When I went IKEA recently, I saw some clear vases and containers that is suitable to place all my brushes, eye-liners, mascaras, bobby pins and etc

REKTANGEL vase from IKEA at $5.90ea

Some colourful pebbles from Carrefour at $4.90 per packet (I got in in 2 colours)

Mix all the pebbles and put in in the vase. Now you can start putting in all your brushes

I did the same for all my mascaras, eyeliners and etc

Voila! I love how pretty it looks when you place them together

SLOM Jar with lid from IKEA at $2.20
I use this to place all my bobby pins, elastics and hair clips

One single stop for all those small hair accessories and its dust free!

Hope you guys enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed sharing another favourite thing of mine

Motion Picture I love

One of the many favourite things I like are movies!! It has become a routine for me to at least catch a movie every week. All these while, I've always like to go to the cinema at Cineleisure, Orchard. But when I was searching for showtimes yesterday, I saw that there is a Shaw Theatre at Nex ( the biggest mall in the North East of Singapore), so I figured why not go there for a change. At first I thought the place will not be up to my expectation but boy was I wrong, i totally love this cinema!!

They have a total of 10 movie halls which means more movie choices and screenings. Not to mention The "Premiere Screen" concept with dine-in services which is a must try the next time i go there.

Shaw Theater, Nex

A huge wall of digital trailers/posters when you first walk in

The whole layout is so futuristic, I felts like I'm in a star-trek movies!

A seating plan in front of each theater, I simply love this.

And here's how the theatre looks like

I certainly will visit this place another time, another check on my favourite things list!

Beautiful beginnings to a beautiful start of the year

Hi all, so its the 1st day of the new year. I believe many of you have come up with at least one new year resolution. One of the many new year resolutions i have this year is to take the extra time to create a blog about the many favorite things i like. Hopefully in some ways, it can be of some help, tips or at least keep those of you that are reading this some company when you are bored.

I went down town to meet up with my friends for brunch today. We decided to meet at P.S Cafe (the one located at Palais). It is the first time i came to this branch and i instantly love the place!! The whole ambience is warm and it gives you the feel as though you are at some cafe at Paris . I love love love the whole decoration of the place, its definitely a great setting for an early-afternoon lunch .

Once you enter the cafe, you are greeted by lots of mouth-watering dessert and there are variety of magazines for you to choose from !

I ordered Egg White Omellete with feta, mushrooms and spinach

Followed by some group photos

Clockwise from left: Elaine, Indah, Meggie, Tung, Roy, Me and Merlyn

It was definitely a great way to start the year. A definite check on my favorite things check-list =)
